Castlewigg Lodge Country House is set in its own grounds 2 miles north of Whithorn, in a very quite rural location centrally located in the Machars area of Wigtownshire, Facing south we look out onto Cottage hill and woodland, slightly to the left we have wonderfull views over to Wigtown bay and the Galloway hills.
We are just off the A746, Between Sorbie and Whithorn.
It really is a perfect location, centrally located for all the visitor attractions, exploring, cycling, walking, Golfing, fishing, sailing, or for just about anyone who wants to have a quite & peacefull break.
Formerly known as Castlewigg Hotel and still marked as such on maps, We are Open All Year for Bed Breakfast & Evening Meals.

We have Only Three Bedrooms available to let. All three are en-suite and are finished to a high standard, with Tea and Coffee making facilities, TV etc. With only a maximum of Six Guests at any one time
You can be assured of our personal attention at any time.
A Full Scottish Breakfast made individually to your request, is served from 7.30am-8.45am.
We also offer our Guests, Home Cooked Evening meals which are available upon request.
All Meals are home made from localy grown Seasonal produce were possible.
Prices will vary depending upon choice & number of courses,
A Typical 2 Course Evening meal will be around £8.50.
Sandwiches & packed lunches are also be available to order.
Guests arriving late in the evening can ring in advance to order a snack or sandwich.
Tea & coffee is always available in your room.
You can also relax in our spacious Guest's lounge at any time.(May-Sept)
